Working closely with local suppliers has become more than just a business strategy for us—it’s a commitment to supporting our community, reducing environmental impact, and offering the freshest, most ethical products to customers who care about what they eat. For those of us passionate about quality food, partnering with local producers is a way to ensure quality, transparency, and sustainability in every bite.

Why Local Partnerships Matter

At The Old Bank Deli, we’ve always believed good food starts long before it reaches the counter. It starts with people who genuinely care about how things are grown produced and shared, which is why we’re really excited to be working alongside With The Wild CIC.

If you’ve been into the deli recently, you may already have spotted some of their beautiful mixed salad bags in the flash. They’re fresh, colourful, packed locally and absolutely bursting with flavour. What we love most is the story behind them......

With The Wild CIC are doing something genuinely brilliant here in Somerset. They focus on growing food in a way that supports biodiversity, community farming and healthier local ecosystems, all while producing incredible ingredients. No unnecessary chemicals. No pretending to be something they’re not. Just proper food, grown thoughtfully, by people who care.

And honestly? That fits perfectly with how we like to do things too.

As a small independent deli in Williton, we’ve always tried to champion quality over shortcuts. We make a huge amount of our food in-house, work with local suppliers wherever we can, and believe people can genuinely taste the difference when ingredients are fresh and cared for properly.

Working with With The Wild CIC feels less like a “supplier relationship” and more like a shared belief that local food matters.

It matters because:

  • supporting local growers keeps money in the local economy

  • sustainable farming helps protect the countryside around us

  • fresher produce simply tastes better

  • and community-led projects make places stronger

In a world where so much food is shipped huge distances and designed for shelf life rather than flavour, it’s refreshing to work with people bringing things back to basics.

We’re proud to stock their produce and we hope this is just the beginning of working together more closely over the coming months.

So next time you pop into The Old Bank Deli, keep an eye out for the salad bags from With The Wild CIC - full of crunch, colour and a little bit of Somerset goodness.

And if you haven’t tried them yet…

This is your sign. 🥗
